"One New Toy" Annual Drive Helps 1,200
Families
Thanks to Local 208 members and officers and our brothers and sisters of the Central Ohio Labor Council, 1,200 needy families with approximately 3,000 children received toys and food for the holiday season over the Dec. 15-17, 2006 weekend. Local 208 members and retirees including Mike Moncrief, Mike Moss, Richard Kirk, Ted Penn, Barb Moss, April James, President Theo James, Secretary Treasurert Duane Marberry, Kathy Bodwell, Tiffany Wingo, and Jeanette Mayo. Columbus Mayor Mike Coleman (shown in bottom photo with Local 208 President Theo James) turned out to show his support for the event. Distribution of the food and toys took place at the UAW Local 969 facility.
